Summer skin care routine for oily skin

Yes, summer time is here and it’s very important to take care of your skin. As summer starts oily skin gets oilier and dry skin gets patchy. If you don’t care about your skin during summer there are chances of getting pimples, rashes, acne and roughness. Just simples changes in your everyday routine can make your skin smooth and glowing during this summer.

Why do you need to care for your skin during the summer?

During the summer the temperature will be around 31° to 35° the sun rays like UVA/UVB are very harmful to the skin which may cause skin tanning. So here are some skin care tips which help during the summer season.

1. How to care your face during summer

During summer make sure you keep your face clean of dust and sweat. You may get pimples due to heavy sweat on your face. So to avoid that wash your face 4 to 5 times with cold water during day time. And no need to use face wash every time, if you feel dustier on your face then only use some good chemical free face wash otherwise clean water would do just fine. During this season for all skin types, it’s better to use a scrub once or twice a week depends on the skin type you need to choose scrub. If you have acne prone skin then I would suggest Multani mitti, rose water and Chanda and for dry skin, you can use egg white, lemon, and curd with a pinch of turmeric.

2. Based on weather use appropriate products

Never use thick cream on your face during summer; you can use these dry areas like your feet. Use lighter lotions and serums.

Water-based moisturizers work best for normal skin types. For oily skin, it’s better to go for gel-based moisturizer. For extra oily and acne prone skin, facial sprays are good. Add natural moisturizers like rose water and glycerin to bathing water which help to get smooth skin.

3. Stick to the basic routine

Never skip your basic routine, as we move in and out of air-conditioned areas which may cause the skin to dry out more. Before sleeping cleanse your face and apply some night cream. Use a toner (after face wash) which helps to close pores.

4. Sunscreen is must

If you are stepping out it’s very essential to use sunscreen! UVA/UVB rays can be harmful to your skin during summer. Pick good sunscreen a minimum SPF 30 is recommended and must be applied 20 to 30 minute before stepping out into the sun. If you are going to swim then re-apply as and when it gets washed.

5. Use natural remedies

There are many natural ingredients which makes your skin smooth. Tomato and lemon is a very good natural ingredient to keep your skin fresh. Use tomato juice (don’t add water) apply it on your face leave it for 10 to 15 minute and wash it off with warm water. Repeat it twice or thrice a week.

6. Maintain Hygiene

Yes, it’s very important to keep your body clean, would suggest taking bath twice a day and if possible adding neem leaves to bathing water.

7. Wear fabric clothes

Cotton and fabric clothes are very good during the summer season. Try to avoid tight clothes it may cause irritation and makes sweaty parts itchier.
